Jain Vishva Bharati Institute Central Library, known as “Vardhman Granthagar”, has rich collection of over 70,000 books covering the fields of interest in Indological studies, religion, Philosophy both Indian and Western, Psychology, Social science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit and English Literature, Computer science, Linguistics, History, Law, Art etc and more than 6000 rare manuscripts. Total 150 journals are subscribed including 10 International journals. Central Library also building digital collection of Jain manuscripts from all over the India. We have finished this work from our own collection 6000 manuscripts, Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute-Jodhpur, Chittorgarh and work is going on at Bikaner and Ujjain. Total collection of CDs of Manuscripts is 300.

Library is also having E-Journal subscription as part of UGC INFONET E-Journals consortium project where we have 16000 on line Journals. Central Library objective is to provide document and information support to the research, studies, counseling and other activities of JVBI. More specifically it is to provide adequate information resources, services and facilities to satisfy the information needs of the different categories of users. In supporting the academic teaching, study and research functions of JVBI.

Library

The Institute has over 70,000 books and more than 6000 rare manuscripts in its Central Library, known as ‘Vardhman Granthagar’. The Institute subscribes more than 150 Journals, e-journals and Periodicals. The entire books and reference database in the library have been computerized and the students can search using the "KOHA" cloud based software. Internet and Xerox facility is also available in the library for the students.
